NVIDIA 4000 Series

I hope you get it back soon. Did you get any indication as to how long it could likely take?
The guy said if it’s not returned in 28 working days (6 weeks in other words) they would offer me a refund or replacement. At this point I’m leaning towards a refund and going elsewhere with my business as @Gibbo didn’t reply to my mention about this subject either.

Wow I'm seeing 4080 below MSRP for "black friday deal", must be selling absolutely terrible.
Below £1000 I might sell my 3080 + Steam deck and pick one up, just reinstalled cyberpunk and was reminded how bad the 3080 is with RT.

Always difficult to judge.
Too late for me, I spent my money on something else. TBH £1000 is not low enough either. I would need to go a little lower than that.

4080 @ 1000 beans is still ridicuously priced, that goes for any GPU to be honest regardless of model. An absurd amount of money for a product that should be 700 to 800 when it probably costs around 300 to 400 to make from scratch for the top tier cards.
Didn't someone point out that margins (avg across all products) are down to something like 7-8% once you take into account R&D etc. costs? Halo products will have higher margins for sure but they have lower volume too. Doesn't justify stupid prices but does explain why you can't use bill of materials alone to set pricing.

I've no idea, I was just using my own ball park figures from what i heard the components on a PCB individually cost from various Youtube channels.

Sucks.

I have used a competitor’s 48 hour replacement program and that worked a treat. I had to replace reference models 3080 and 6950 XT… new cards were sent out within the same week.

I had temp issues with each card, 3080 = memory, 6950 XT = hotspot.
I will only use that place for the same reasons.

Well my Zotac 4090 Airo that was over £2k at launch died shortly after 30 days of use, or should I say it started dying after 5 minutes of use in games that pushed it over about 400w, even with a brand new 1300w Antec (Seasonic) PSU and 13700K CPU. Overclockers sent it back to Zotac for REPAIR over a week ago and I still havent heard anything yet. **** poor service in my opinion.
You have to give them 1 chance to repair or replace unfortunately due to it being past 30 days. If you’ve given them a “reasonable” amount of time to do so and still haven’t, then you can go for a refund.

However did you buy it using a credit card? If so, raise a dispute.

The crazy thing is I spent 4 days after it started playing up buying a new PSU to make sure it wasn't my 850 Watt Seasonic PSU that wasn't powerful enough for the Zotac. They are stating 1000 to 1200 watts as minimum depending on where you look. If I had reported the problem straight away i would have been under the 30 days and they would have replaced it. I mentioned this on the phone to the guy and he basically said bad luck, SMH.

I would have thought they would have honoured it given what you’ve said. Technically they don’t have to, but it isn’t great for you. Especially given the fact you’ve offered to pay extra fir a different model. Could you speak to a manager?

What is a "reasonable" amount of time to repair though? Pretty sure Overclockers will want a full month before they offer a refund which doesn't seem reasonable to me.

It’s usually around a month, then you have right to reject. However if you have given them a chance to repair and it doesn’t fix the issue, you can then get a refund.

I don’t think it’s reasonable to treat a customer this way when he explained he tried to troubleshoot the problem before reporting it. Lessons can be learned if nothing else. Always report the issue straight away!

Seen many 4080s below msrp and seen some 4090s too for BF and some places had voucher codes too that could take £100 off your basket over £1200 too.. So below msrp and £100 off added. Still refused to get one as they will fire sell them soon enough. After the 3090ti mess from £1889 to £1149 in a few months was the tipping point for me, £740 lost by many for each one. Then same in USA $2000 to $1099 almost 50% loss.

Even now going on USA nvidia site shows 3090ti, 3080ti,3070ti,3060ti are all in stock and 4080s too the FE models... https://store.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/store/?page=1&limit=9&locale=en-us&category=GPU,DESKTOP

They can't even shift the 4080s to save their lives.

HI guys can anyone explain me this behaviour. Its from CB 2077 spot.
Example:
12700K,RTX 3080 ti,DDR 4 - 720P resolution - 95fps
12700K,RTX 4090,DDR4 - 720P resolution - 80 fps

Why on such low resolution performance on 3080 ti is greater? Its because RTX 4090 its bottlenecked when 3080 ti not on such low res?
