yes happened to someone on here who got a 4080 then cancelled , was told not allowed to buy another FE currently .

Pretty daft how its been in stock for days in Europe now but here it sells out in under 30 seconds...Nvidia are missing a trick here cards sitting on shelf's in EU stores while in the UK selling out instantly ... No cost of living crisis here Nvidia, get all that stock over here sharpish

I have a 4090 FE , it is a stunning card and have no regrets at all and was exactly what i wanted . You can of course send it back but will have to get an AIB if you want another at a latter date.... What card do you currently have ? maybe wait for it to turn up and give it a try and make your decision from then ?
That and we have a bad problem with scalpers over here.
What I don't get is people adding them to their basket just to say "I got one in my basket!!!" and denying someone else the chance to have gotten one.
Did it for research purposes to the ones that say it's impossible, managed to add both
I currently use a 3080 FE 10 GB. It meets most of my needs at 3400x1440. I was keen for some much higher framerates with ray tracing in newer titles though.
Well despite saying to myself I wasn't going to get a 4090 I couldn't resist when the drop came in the second time,

Yeah scalping seems much more serious here than anywhere else considering we're only a small island.
Maybe its the lack of well paid jobs or its the enticement of easy money without having to pay taxes on it (you should though). I imagine some people would be in serious trouble if HMRC found out how much you was making without paying taxes on it.
