id say perfect timing as I have just ordered one , was going to smack down on a 7900 XTX but from what I have read and seen , its a meh card for £10504080 is back. Dodgy tiiming.

I wonder how long they will be in stock now we know AMD can't compete at the top end.
There will definitely be a 4090 Ti - the 4090 is a cut-down AD102 and Nvidia will be binning all the 'perfect' ones for another model somewhere down the line. Expect it to be £2,100+ though.Does anyone think nvidia will even bother releasing the 4090 Ti now? I think they will release one end of generation as AMD is nowhere close to 4090
I just can't see why you would need more performance than the 4090 at the moment.
Most people seem to run them power limited or at reduced voltage as they are so powerful anyway!

Did you not sort out those black screen issues with the Asrock 6900XT you just bought..?
I ended up, going back a few months, sending a Red Devil 6800XT back due to performance issues in some Indie games I played. But it too had an odd black screen issue, tho that was the least of its problems. I went to a MSI 3070.
There's room for a card with more vram for the folk using them to render on that don't want to pay whatever the 48gb RTX6000 is going to cost. Seems to be about 8k usd.I just can't see why you would need more performance than the 4090 at the moment.

I do have to check i have come to the right forum sometimesUnderclockers.co.uk

why can't you overclock it ? locked core and memory ? power limited ? If AIB a bios flash can solve your issuesI bought a card with a waterblock that you can't overclock...
Seeing 11% ( MW2 ) 13% ( TR ) on mine from stock to OC but seems to be all you can get out of them and at the end of the day its free performance if you need it by moving a few sliders around With the 4090 as it has so much headroom at the minute can see a case for running it stock and letting it downclock as it needs and save power etc . Undervolting/Underpoweing is not my cup of Tea as it isn't yours either i imagine ... you don't strike me as someone to leave performance on the tableFrom my testing the most you'll get from the 4090 is around 9-10% overclocking and that is absolute best case scenario. And that's if you use a 600W+ BIOS and increase the voltage to max, and have the card running as cool as possible.
Quick test on Dying Light 2 at 450W (actual peak 450W) vs 650W (actual peak 640W). Settings were 4K max every option but blur and CA off.
Note the gain is only 5% here, but the power draw is higher than games without RT where you can extract a little more performance from overclocking.
I think mine boost a little higher at stock tbh than some I've seen. You are also using water cooling too so that probably plays a part in allowing more OC potential than most will see. Those games are not as harsh as Dying Light 2 so probably explains why you can get a little more from it.Seeing 11% ( MW2 ) 13% ( TR ) on mine from stock to OC but seems to be all you can get out of them and at the end of the day its free performance if you need it by moving a few sliders around With the 4090 as it has so much headroom at the minute can see a case for running it stock and letting it downclock as it needs and save power etc .
