NVIDIA 4000 Series

So about £1079 including VAT etc. if 960 usd is right.
yeah, 899 will be the founders at best, but wouldnt be surprised if we get £999 for founders out of the gate and god only knows where the rgb mugs cards will end up. going off the 4080 probably £1300 because idiocy.

Not surprised at the supposed 4070 Ti price, but still disappointed. Have just moved to 1440 ultra wide and my 2080 isn't cutting it. But I refuse to pay those figures for what is essentially a mid range card.
Yes, I certainly won't be getting one at those prices. I guess the excitement has almost dissipated now, reality has sunk in and I will wait a few years.

Anyone get the Gainward Phantom? It's currently 1749 at OCUK but it's not a brand I've any experience of. Only the bigger brands seem to get reviewed of course.

The supposed 4070 ti price will be $799.

The 4080 12gb was gonna be $899. Not sure where people are inventing prices higher than even that.

Launch day prices are 1:1 these days due to poor exchange rate, so the price is easy to predict in £ for standard models.

4080 $1199 = £1199.
4090 $1599 = £1599.
7900 XT $899 = £899.
7900 XTX $999 = £999.

Those are the current prices. The 7900 XTX is a bit different as some retailers decided to take higher margin, but was available for £999 on launch day and now there is no stock.

AFAIK, There isn't going to be a 4070Ti FE.

AIBs only.

I guess the reason people will be inventing prices is from that point (no FE?) and from some reports:

Nvidia has informed board partners that the card will have an MSRP of $799, or about 11% less than the never-released RTX 4080 12GB.

I would never count on AIB's and retailers to go with msrp and fancy versions are guaranteed to be way more than that. The only possibility is from poor sales appetite of most cards already the price shouldn't stay up for too long.

Yeah it’s excellent, well worth the money if you’re not able to get an FE model.

CBA with the hassle of trying to get a FE, just a bit wary of other brands after my ASRock 6900XT punt.
Don't have a GPU currently so need to order in next day or so.

To be expected though after the 4080, and it's not like AMD did that much to push down either. Just feels like a repeat of the 20 series to me, not gonna lie. Maybe the 50 series will reveal with Jensen saying it's safe to upgrade again, lol.

Getting a 3080 for £649 is currently feeling like the steal of the decade.
The 3080 was the last time a high end card released at a decent price, An equivalent successor this gen would be a 4080 with 14921 Cuda cores for £650 instead of the 4080 lite for £1200.

Yea ive just done the same and my 2070 Super gets 60+ in some single player games but in my comp games and more demanding it struggles im wanting a 4080 but its 1300 pounds for the model that i want and that's just to much atm and the 12gb vram on the 4070 ti and it still being around 1000 pounds does seem well for future proofing

You’ll be very happy with the Phantom, excellent build quality and silent.

Thanks. I have ordered the cablemod cable too that splits in to 4 pci as I figured it worth the extra fiver over the 3x one. Not sure if you need all 4 or not.
