NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

Nearly spat my tea out then.

If I do get one I may as well try and just buy three or so up front straight away so I can find the one with the least coil wine :rolleyes:

Was playing caves of qud the other night. Good job I've got that 4090 slaving away to drive those graphics

I can't control the sudden surge of interest from China. Blame Biden.

You on the other hand have full control whether you go for a 5090 or not. You gave loads of reasons as to why not as well :p

Tbf I was very close one sold for £1010 not long ago. Plus who knows, with what next gen brings in 2025 they may still sell for under £1000. But yeah, China. Only reason really :p

It's the biggest market by a good margin: they're gonna move supply where it will sell. Expect more and more "leaks" on this topic as nV marketing riles up demand in the US to fever pitch in order to move as many as possible there before tariffs go into affect (and demand there drops instantaneously).
 
but man i was getting excited for the launch, the hype's kinda dying out
my worry is that its not just current demand, but the tendency to stockpile can be a big issue

edit: but i really hope its just oneupmanship, those tariffs look irrational to me, maybe he is keen on forcing a negotiation with these countries

I will keep my 4070 Ti for a while I guess.

Will skip a gen or jump on a pricing error again probably or something :cry:

In the future if I get more time to game I will just get the top end card on release. Use it 12-18 months, sell it before the new cards come out at a small loss and carry on like that.
