No one has answered about the 5080s been purchased by retailers now though/going through distribution channels. When the prices are announced if the retail price is in flux who takes the hit on their margin?

As mono said, they will get the money back through rebates. Rebates are very common in retailing, it's a way to ensure no store is disadvantaged - stores can end up with too much stock if they order too much, so stores have to worry about inventory volume risk, but they won't have to worry about over paying for stock due to the rebate mechanism

I can’t see them pricing the 5090 above £2000, otherwise what’s the 6090 gonna be £2500+ or the 7090 at £3000 to £4000+?

At these stupid prices what's the very low end going to be?, £800+ and does a lot worse than a console?. Nvidia will price themselves completely out of the market at that rate.

And no one will buy their gpus- they’ll be smart and sense market direction before that happens.

Bro, in a few years I'm planning on using an 8090 as a deposit on a house -- should be about 50% deposit by my reckoning xD

Gibbo will know any day now. Then obligatory +£200 for most models will be added then there's them Asus ones that get their special sauce markup too! :p

Whoa whoa there. Nvidia seem to think vram chips are prima donna. You dont get an extra 8GB for nothing so the £1600 entry is now most definitely another £250 out of the gate.
