Back in my day I had to SLI two GPUs to get some extra fps and put up with constant flickering and stuttering. It was tough but I managed.
If only young PC gamers these days would stop wasting their cash on battlepasses, silly skins and twitchtv subscriptions they could easily get on the GPU ladder.

Going from a 4090 to 5080 is most likely a complete waste of time

No one doubts GDDR7 is more expensive than GDDR6 it's more that Nvidia charge a "Apple Tax" on the higher capacities.

Yeah. This is the first generation that's EVER changed to newer ram, increased the ram, been on a new build process or had a large die. Obviously requires a large price jump
