NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

I'm currently rocking a 4080FE and now thinking I'll leave the upgrade to 5080 until a 5080TI, not sure the 10-20% increase is worth the ££
I'm thinking the same, the increase isn't worth the money and the 0% uplift in VRAM definitely isn't worth the money. I'll be waiting until that's an option unless the 5090 comes down in price.

Yes, I realise that last comment is

Yeah the 5090 will never come down in price as i cant imagine they will do a 5090Ti as they didnt with the 4090...

But agreed theres a big hole for a 5080Ti and more than likely they will increase the VRAM to 24GB or there abouts

This is my hope. But this is also NVidia we're talking about, they'd have the brass neck to release another 16gb card given they have no problem with releasing terrible 8gb cards like the 4060.

We also have to hope 3gb memory modules become a thing in the near future, that'd give potential for a 24gb 5080 Super / Ti.

Same here, I’ll be waiting on reviews and decide if the performance gap is worth the grand difference to me or not

There is no way it’ll be ‘worth’ a grand to the average bear.

But if you have a grand to burn, that’s a bit different.

Put another way, 5090 shouldn’t be for anyone looking at ‘value’ unless you’re an absolute die hard max performance gamer / worker / miner.

Once upon a time top tier cost a couple hundred. Wish my salary had multiplied by 10.

At this rate, the 6090 FE will be 2.5K minimum.
yep

5090 is $1999 in America and £1939 in the UK

Aftermarket cards will be generally about £150+ so in general i think it will be about £2100 and if you went top level i.e Asus strix/MSI Suprim these cards will be around £2300, if you went watercooled or ROG platinum matrix levels that will be an easy £2500+

Add 2 years worth of inflation for a 6090 and based on the above the 6090 will be around 2500 off the bat and top level around three grand

buts lets not go there as we have not even got the 5090 yet :)

Heh you have no idea. Rog strix black was 2400 on release. White strix was 2600. Suprisingly the suprim X was tame by comparison like 2100. Of course I expect this time round for the prices to increase. But I can see stuff like Aorus Ice 5090, Astral 5090. Msi suprim X special edition5090 coming in at 2400+
