You're forgetting the 3090Ti was launched only 8 months before the 40-series.

I haven't forgotten that, it further supports my point that for the consumer you want it to come sooner rather than later otherwise you end up like those in previous generations who dropped big money on the halo card only to see it replaced and potentially massively depreciate in value within a year.

thankyou, I'm probably going to get one anyway but rather wait for reviews. Interested to see if FE vs AIB is worth it, lots of fancy coolers but if the performance is similar I'll probably just get the one that is cheapest that looks good

I think the 5090 FE is a engineering marvel, but I have to be honest, it would look really small in my case. Not to mention that you need to be really lucky to snag one at launch. My wet dream would be the Astral, but of course, I’m waiting to see the prices. In general, though, I’d prefer an AIB both in terms of performance and aesthetics

If you play around with the price sliders on another website you can see they've got the bog standard Zotac 5090 currently listed for £2399 and the bog standard Zotac 5080 listed at £1439 :cry:
