Considering. 5070ti, but the lack of FE seriously putting me off, I don’t want a cheap plastic fantastic cooler ;(
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
There's people out there who would upgrade if it was -5% but came with an extra fake frame lolLet’s face it though even if the 5090 was +5% there would be some 4090 owners who would upgrade.
Jensen is right about one thing, people putting 4090/5090s into their 10k home theatre setups. I just did a quick count of what I've got and my PC plus monitors and screens, plus sound system, plus lighting and furniture, plus networking and cables, plus peripherals etc in my room comes to 15k pounds
That gets you 90% of the way there mate. That final 10% is diminishing returns £££ (but I still love it lol).Mine only came to £6969. Not as expensive as you guys, but it is a lot of fun.
They would cover AMD render tech too, but they are too busy fumbling over their 0.002% market share. Maybe one day they will get their act together, either in the DC or client. They forgot to say this video was brought to you by Nvidia
FE’s will sell out instantly but AIB’s especially the overpriced ones will hang around for while as people pluck up the courage to hit the buy button.Just thought, the FE site to buy the 4090 and other websites buying these cards just crashed and went under as I remember, can only imagine what it’s going to be like with two cards launching the same day, not a chance.
Wait there is no 5070ti FE? Makes the 5080 FE more appealing to me as the 5070ti AIB will be close to £800 or more.Considering. 5070ti, but the lack of FE seriously putting me off, I don’t want a cheap plastic fantastic cooler ;(
DF have a track record of shilling for Nvidia. They were absolutely swooning over the MFG tech in the video. It was pretty pathetic at times to be honest. Not to say there was not some interesting developments shown. I suppose its more of an issue with their style and personalities. They would cover AMD render tech too, but they are too busy fumbling over their 0.002% market share. I don't completely disagree with that, but I think your last point is the most relevant. The DF crew like new gaming/render technology. AMD doesn't provide any of that. Nvidia does, and also gives them exclusive access to it.DF have a track record of shilling for Nvidia. They were absolutely swooning over the MFG tech in the video. Nvidia’s FG = 5x performance but AMDs FG = no extra performanceDF have a track record of shilling for Nvidia. They were absolutely swooning over the MFG tech in the video. With the 5090 FE being constructed of 3 PCBs (main board, PCIe board and video port board) I'm excited to see what waterblock manufacturers come up with.
The length of the interconnects between each of the boards will constrain much of the design I'd think, but hopefully there'll be some really creative designs.
Can't argue with any of this. I have just seen a used 4090 FE sell for £1,400. If only i could guarantee a 5090 FE at launch. £540 price difference and 3 weeks without a GPU? Go on then. This is exactly the same thing I saw during the release of the 3090 and 4090, massive scare mongering, on prices, availability and scalpering.
Lets go on official prices from Nvidia
RTX 5090 £1939
RTX 5080 £979
These are the official RRP prices from Nvidia
If you want pone of these cards then you know what to do, go to where they sell a FE edition card
Now based on history lets add roughly 20% on aftermarket cards and 30% on higher tier GPU's
RTX 5090 £1939 +20% £2326
RTX 5080 £979 +20% £1174
Give or take and extra 5% here n there were are talk on around £2400 or less for a 5090 and £1200 for a 5080 give or take a few quid
I also think the 4090 wont be performing much less than a 5090, I think 4090 prices will stay solid for some time to come even after 5090 releases
Only the enthusiast and people who want to sell their 4090 and add around a thousand quid to get a 5090 will commit to this, and seeing these foreign sites selling 5080s for £1700+ is ridiculous, no wonder
buyers from these countries buy their stuff from UK based companies and official resellers.
No one needs a 50 series unless you really want one, if you do be patient and buy through official partners, like I said based on 30 and 40 series I think it wont be any different from past releases.
So people lets chill and await the 30th of January
