It won't be equal with 4x frame gen, it'll blow past the 4090.No I was just suggesting that vram compression techniques being advertised as meaning you need less vram have all proved to be rubbish. 4x frame gen will of course run fine as that's the only reason it will be equal to a 4090
All depends on how much FE stock Nvidia has managed to produce. Would be hilarious if there are tens of thousands of 5080/5090 FE in stock in UK warehouses ready to rock on the 30th.
If Nvidia's db numbers for the 5090 cooler are accurate, the FE is 100% the card to go for, due to lowest price, small form factor enabling it to be used in pretty much all sized cases, resale value etc.

I do care that the entry level AIB cards with worse PCBs than the FE and awful designs are likely £200-300 over MSRP.
the fe sellers site is gonna crash 100% the bots used to clean up during the 30 series mining craze.

There was <200 in the first batch of 4090 FEs apparently.
not having a 5070ti founders edition feels like a deliberate tactic on nvidias part to upsell folk to the 5080 FE !

About to try and sell your 4090?
RTX5000 is a bit of a tame generation, keeping RTX4000 values higher than otherwise would be.
But RTX6000 is almost certain to be move to 3nm, which has 34% higher density than the node RTX5000 uses. This is decent, but much smaller than RTX3000 which used Samsung 8nm and RTX4000 used TSMC 5nm, 8nm to 5nm was a massive density increase while TSMC 3nm is a milder 34% improvement.
So don't expect RTX6000 to be 80% faster than RTX5000, but it should be a decent 40-50% faster I think.
The only issue with TSMC 3nm is its cost leading to slow uptake. I'm sure 3nm is what Nvidia will use, but they'll delay launch until the cost comes down, so we don't expect to see RTX6000 until 2027

Nvidia have been pretty consistent in releasing a new generation of GPU's every 2 years, or thereabouts
