NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

I really didn’t understand HUB’s position of saying they would first do a review without the DLSS stuff - if you’re omitting what is supposedly a ‘selling point’ of a product, whether that’s good or total junk, then it’s not really a ‘review of the product’, is it?

Maybe they’ll do it as a part 1 and then a part 2… for maximum clicks

Either way, not long now until we actually get a good idea of how good the darn thing is!

Reviewers for some time have said they don't like fake frames and upscaling, it's nothing new. So they always focus on raw performance. Additionally introducing upscaling and fake frames adds many more testing scenarios and the video would be much longer

I'm sure you'll find another YouTuber who is happy to shill and focus their review around fake frames, enjoy!

There are a lot of people that really want to see the raw performance upgrade, without the generated frames.

This obviously goes against what NVIDIA would prefer.

Yup that makes sense I guess - vid might be way too long.

I’m interested in both ‘real’ and ‘fake’ frames - would be good to get some better context over which modes are perceived to be preferable and in what circumstances.

Yes, everyone is interested in the raw performance.

Exactly. This is what i want. Figures I can compare against the 4090 (in my case). I have zero interest in frame gen anyway, and if i did i would have got most of what i need to know from Nvidia's own figures.

Don't worry, Jensen hss you covered. The 5090 generates an AI girlfriend, why bother with a real one

Also a funny hint, HWUB Steve's body position correlates with the over sentiment with a product review. He was standing during the 5090 unboxing ;)

If it came with Ana de Armas, I'd pay £200k for it, let alone £2k

That is absolutely ridiculous

What have the manufacturers been doing for the past few months? its like Nvidia and their partners have deliberately made sure the release is manic, how are they suppose to make money as a business if they dont want to sell to their customers, insane.
I Dont think gaming is a large part of the business model anymore. It's certainly not the main focus anyway.

I must say Nvidia is really doing well on ESG.

The FE 5090's box is completely eco friendly and cut down, just like the 5090's eco and cut down performance, all you need is AI to fix the box and the GPU
We shall see how eco the performance really is. It may require all 575 if its watts to actually get any meaningful performance over a 4090 at an 80% power limit, in games.... A depressing thought.

I feel personally all 4090 owners can skip this gen and with the help of DLSS4 coming to 4000 series eventually, i don't feel the gap would be that big or big enough to warrant an upgrade.

Mrk and Grim approve of this message.

Will be fun seeing one or both of them either not have the top dog gpu anymore or after slating for so long give in and buy one :D

I always feel like for an upgrade you should be targeting around +50% if spending similar money to your current gpu or if you’re spending more then you probably want around +100%

FOMO gets everyone eventually
Personally i'm keeping my 4090 for editing work and probs gaming and getting a 5080 for build projects, cannot see a reason to get a 5090 this round. I'm adamant!

I only got a 4090 cos the performance jump was insane comopared to my 3090 :D

Yeah and +30% raster for +£400 is not a good deal especially when you consider the 3090 to 4090 jump for +$100.

I've not particularly looked into it, assuming its more dev implementation rather than a driver dump on release.
