NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

Wow, just wow. FE is so loud at load. 5090 Astral it is, easy decision!
weird, hardware unboxed couldn't hear it over case fans.

What? That doesn't even make any sense and I've not seen such claims - it has more CUDA cores, how could it be slower in raster? :D I think you might be confusing it with 5080.
Nope. on reddit (namely the Nvidia subreddit) people were claiming it would be slower than the 4090 in raster because it all relies on Dlss now.
Ofc it's nonsense, but there were many people all claiming the same nonsense, but they did.
Maybe the confusion was because it has a slower clock speed, but obv that means nothing when it's a new generation of cards etc...

HUB:
"After a little over 2 years we're seeing no improvement in cost per frame"

HUB conclusion it is a disappointing product.

I agree based on what I have seen.

Still the best though. A must buy for those that only run the best and don't want to be locked out of the latest tech. Oh and 32GB VRAM. Only way to get that too :D

A surprise? It is Nvidia :D

Hell with it. Just buy it. 32GB VRAM, latest and greatest and big boost in many latest games!

:p

Oh, I thought you meant people not redditors... Very different bread that! ;)

5070>4090! :D

Ignoring everything else, a bit slower clock with much larger number of CUDA cores or just much larger chip size, should be enough to know raster would be faster...

Power draw is actually higher than I expected and runs closer to announced TDP than 4090. TechPowerUp got close to 575w in a few games

Is this a GTX 480? In some respects, yes. Hotter, wattage hog, more expensive than last gen, and super low stock at launch. But it is the indisputably fastest card, so there's that.
