NVIDIA 5000 SERIES - ***NO COMPETITOR HINTING***

4090 in some games is far ahead of the 5080, what a steaming turd of a card
Pretty much called it tbh, there's just no way, given the specs and being on the same node it would beat a 4090, but people were convinced saying "there's never been an 80 card that didn't beat the previous flagship" - well there's a first for everything

RT and the accompanying technologies is where the performance is. We can see that because the biggest bump in hardware is in the ai tops performance.

So you're focusing on the wrong thing.

Once people see how much better it is at RT all this raster comparisons will get forgotten.

Let's just guess something like 20% rasta + 50% RT performance improvement.

Suddenly those games that are hard to run like Black Myth Wukong amaze as they run so much better now on the 5000 series.

Not really, if it’s not faster drawing your basic triangles the games won’t get more detailed regardless of lighting. And Black Myth doesn’t run ‘so much better’ on 5090 it’s barely breaking playable frame rates - pointless having the fancy stuff if you can’t push your basic frames at a good pace.

I don’t think you’ll double 4090 perf until at least 7090 GPU at this rate.

5070 more like , I thought RT would at least got better uplift , only thing it has going for it 4x fake frames lol

if only AMD had a good card they could dominate 5080 downwards, what a rubbish card 5080 is and Nvidia wants £1000 for it and AIB cards are going to £1200 plus haha, honestly if the 9070XT performs close to 4080 and priced competitively it could do really dominate. Nvidia have messed up badly and this is AMD golden opportunity to claw back market share, just yet the price right that's all.
