NVIDIA 5000 SERIES - ***NO COMPETITOR HINTING***

I'll be honest though... Even though I've known from the start the 5080 is the 70 class card, I was still considering getting it if I couldn't grab a 5090... but the more I look at the reviews for the 5080, the more disappointing it is even for a 70 class and I've totally noped out of it. Now, it's 5090 or nothing for me.

Spitballing Nvidia's RTX 5090 GPU die manufacturing costs — die could cost as little as $290 to make

A completely pointless metric.

The cost of the PCB (Materials, Assembly) is an absolute pee in the ocean compared to R&D, Premises, Manufacturing and all the other costs. None of us are under any illusion that nVidia are making bank but let's be half-serious. Clickbait article basically.

That's NVIDIA's plan all along..

To potentially lose a sale? Seems like a terrible plan...
Before it was 5090 first choice, 5080 second choice... Now it's 5090 first choice.. nothing or maybe even AMD second choice. They must have some marketing GENIUSES ;)

Aorus 5080 WB at 2k. Feel sorry for whoever thinks thats a good idea. Just get a 5090 at that point

This was a stand out. That price is grossly inflated. Early indications were the waterblocked cards would have a premium over the others but not to that extent. Infact I have seen the AIO WB version CHEAPER than the block only one when it was always the other way around...how does that make sense? Pay more for....less.
