Fixed Issues in Version 572.16 WHQL

NVIDIA’s GeForce Driver 572.16 introduces valuable optimizations for guru’s who rely on the latest hardware. With support for GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5080, this driver extends DLSS 4 capabilities to various current and upcoming games, such as Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Star Wars Outlaws. Guru’s working on demanding projects beyond gaming may also benefit from DLSS 4’s advanced upscaling features, which can help balance performance and image quality. Additionally, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II are compatible with these enhancements, reflecting NVIDIA’s continued effort to refine real-time rendering for diverse workloads.


Fixes in this release address flickering on G-SYNC Compatible monitors when frame rates dip below 60FPS. Micro-stutters found in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, specifically when G-SYNC was turned on and Vertical Sync was off, have also been reduced. Games built on Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine may experience improved stability, minimizing the frequency of crashes. Guru’s who regularly use Evernote, QQ, or Asus Armoury Crate could see decreased CPU usage, and 3D artists employing Blender Cycles should notice improved accuracy with motion blur. The driver likewise resolves a previous Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDR) issue that occurred in KeyShot2024 during scene loading. These updates, combined with compatibility for CUDA 12.8, suggest a focus on refining both gaming and professional production environments for guru’s who demand consistent performance.


Despite these improvements, some issues remain. Changing the “Display GPU Activity Icon in Notification Area” might only take effect after a system reboot. Certain tests on Blackwell GPUs in VRay 6 have shown reduced performance, indicating ongoing optimizations are needed. NVIDIA also references a GeForce RTX 5090D model, though complete performance details and availability information have not been fully disclosed. As a precaution, guru’s are advised to read the official documentation and confirm that third-party software settings align with driver updates.

"lemon" aka the fastest GPU in the world. No, it's not as big of a leap as other generations, but seen many people claiming the 5090 is "awful" when it's clearly not...

Was more referring to the 5080 tbh but don’t get your panties in a twist!

Pricing is awful though, that goes without saying. It’s never okay to be paying 2k for a gpu, pre-scalped for your convenience.
 
So either theres no fe cards for the 5080 or 5090 or they insta sold out again as both pages just say "coming soon".
