Nvidia 528.02 Resolution Issue

Just updated to 528.02 and it's wrecked my pc, windows only sees my monitor as a Generic Display, limiting me to 1024x768.
It's an Aorus FI27Q.

Everything was fine before updating.
2560x1440p at 165hz.

I've tried going back to 527.56 and that hasn't worked.

Not sure what else to try short of a full clean install of everything.

No such thing. Only a couple of utilities and firmware which is already the latest.

Is there any good way of totally removing the old ones, or is the clean install option usually sufficient.

Clean install is fine.

You may be able to update the monitor's firmware to get later nvidia drivers working.

Last time I updated my driver I had a problem but I fixed it that quickly I can't remember exactly what it was but it was something to do with my monitor, I completely forgot about it till I seen this post. My current driver is 522.25, I'm updating now to 528.02 so will post again after install.

Ah cool, sorry, my memory of it is a bit vague due to me fixing it quickly. It was Throwaway's comment showing display port but didn't see it was specifically for your monitor, my bad.
Glad you're back up and running as normal.
