Nvidia 5900XT Low power indicator

I'm running a spec of:

Athlon 3000 XP
3 x 512mb sticks of PC3200 RAM
MSI FX 5900XT
Abit NF7-S v2.0
Antec True Blue PSU (420W I believe)

Was playing a game yesterday and started to get spammed with the following message:

Now whenever I do anything at all, i'll be swamped with these messages - literally hundreds of the buggers.


The only thing is, is that i've been running this spec for nearly 2 years now, so I don't really know what to do.

I've reseated the card and the power cable - also cleaned the fan on the graphics card, got a little dusty! I've also uninstalled current drivers and installed fresh ones - still no luck.



Any help will be much appreciated.

It sounds like a PSU or GFx hardware issue to me.

Try disconnecting all hardware you dont need, and then rebooting (it will reduce your overall power usage).

If it still does that, then try swapping out the power supply.

If it still has the problem then its pretty sure to be a GFx Card problem.
