Nvidia 750Ti D-SUB flickering

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a new 750Ti and a pair of 1080p monitors. The monitors have DP, VGA and DVI inputs, and the graphics card has HDMI, VGA and DVI outputs.

I have the DVI port on the GPU connected to one of the monitors, and the VGA to the other. The VGA monitor is displaying flickering across the screen at 1080p. Reducing the resolution seems to fix this. I have previously had the monitor connected to a laptop through VGA at 1080p, and there was no flickering. I also swapped the monitors around, and the flickering was still on the one connected with VGA.

This sounds like the graphics card, any ideas on how to fix this?

If I am following you, you have tried swapping which monitor is connected via the D-SUB (which rules out the monitor being at fault) and you have connected the monitor to a laptop using the same cable (which rules out the cable).

Seems to me you have already narrowed the fault down to the GPU, but it may be worth trying another cable if you have one as it could be an issue with signal loss and a better cable may possibly help, but I wouldn't count on it).

Simply fix: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-029-OK
