jaykay said:Go for the 1950pro or xt
it will last you long and are very good cards
the only failure rates that are bad with the pros and xt are from HIS so stay away from them
Speak for yourself.Cyber-Mav said:those cards ar already out of date. can;t even play stalker with hdr turned on at 1024x768 without seriously choppy framerate.

jaykay said:a 8800gts struggles at stalker
and you said thast dx10 is not important
the 8600 will perform about the same as a 1950xt
so whats the difference?

LoadsaMoney said:My GTS doesn't struggle at Stalker.
Besides its not the cards its the actual game, you can't blame any card for a poorly programmed game as the graphics cards have got nothing to do with it.
and also driver issues were what stopped them clocking

just wait for the 8600's to arrive, then make a decision. forgot all this 'this is dx10, that is dx9' nonsense.

Now all we need is for the Welsh/Elven chap to come along and the party's rocking!
