Nvidia 7950 & Conroe...How?

7950's don't need an SLI motherboard to run them, just be compatible via a BIOS update, (the Intel Bad Axe for example). Remember there will be a flood of Nforce 590 conroe boards which I would imagine will work with them straight out of the box if flashing BIOS's ain't your thing.

No, at least i cant see any. Ive just swapped my SLI 7900GTs for a single X1900XTX, so it dosent matter to me anymore and a non SLI mobo will be fine for me now.

I understand that this is not quite right - while a bios will work for some boards its not gaurenteed to work - as the same can be said of some SLI boards.

The issue is that the mobo has to be able to see the "bridge" between the cards and not only that but the 2nd card beyond that ( I have read somewhere that its feasable some boards will see the bridge properly yet unable to see the 2nd GT)
