It says this new card has 2*7900 gtx chips yet the only models for sale go up to a core speed of 570mhz. Is there any full speed cores in the pipe line 650,670 and maybe even a 700mhz??

Usual

I think i read this on the guru3d review - basically they're underclocked due to heat output concerns - the coolers are fairly basic - nothing like the monster coolers on the GTX cards.

Hey - just going by the carp I've read at the review sites... ;)

I don't care, they score high enough for a single card and perform well in games :D

GTX chips ive read... they are much faster than a single GTX so i would have thought they are just underclocked GTX's as like the other man said the heatsink and fan look rather poor.

They're 7900GT Mobile (ones used in laptops) chips. Mobile chips were used to keep heat output and power requirements down. Hence the lack of a huge cooler on it.

No its two G71 cores which are the same cores used in the 7900GTX. They are running quite a bit slower (100-150mhz) than the top oc'd GTX's.
