Aargh as above I have today just swapped out my old x600 pro for a nice shiny 8800gtx:D

upon trying to set the thing up to display full screen video on a second display(panasonic 42") I have been loking for nvidia`s version of theater mode:confused:

After a bit of searching it looks like nvidia no longer support this feature in 8 series or vista.
There must be a third party program that does this can anyone help??

cheers
matt

no what i mean is i have my desktop on my monitor, i double click a film and it displays full screen on my tv like a normal broadcast. but i still have a normal wmp window on my monitor so i can easilly pause stop etc.

In Ati its called theater mode About half way down

yea, why not just stretch the desktop over the 2 screens, and have wmp on your tv screen, double click on the video and it's full screen and you've still got your desktop on your monitor

that's what i do anyway :p

I did think of that. There are a lot of people on other forums not happy about it being left out. Seems really daft it was such a good option for ATI.

I have tried full screen in wmp but i`m getting a black bar top and bottom like its being cropped but only in video playback.

I have full screen as far as the desktop in clone mode. but when playing video its cropped slightly. I`m still playing with it just thought/hoped someone else had come across this and sorted a fix for it Its not a massive deal just a shame that its all great with ATI drivers and an old x600 pro but not with my new all singing and dancing card

+1 for ATI

However my games look the Bomb

Ok it looks like nvidia have taken the option out of their drivers so it may be back. with enough pressure so will post on the sli boards and see if anyone on those has any idea. apparantly its to do with dx10 and vista probably bloody microsoft. However its still in ati latest drivers.
