I bought the Nvidia 8400 GS PCIe graphics card as I needed a stop gap card and this was the cheapest you could get on ocuk. What I'm doing is I've bought all the bits I need to make a new water cooled pc but I was going to use my existing 8800gtx in it. So my plan was to move everything out of my main case into another smaller case with a cheap gcard, so I can still have a working pc while I go about chopping the other case up and setting things up. With my 8800gtx in the smaller case the pc works just fine. I expected to to able to simply swap the card and for it to work without any messing about. However when I swap the card I just get a blank screen, as if the card is not connected to the monitor. I can hear the drives continue to load windows. I put the 8800gtx back in and it works ok. I've tried both the dvi and vga connectors on the card and get the same. So before I go for an RMA on this card is anyone aware of any incompatabilities between this card and a DFI lan party ultra D motherboard, or any other ideas?

This is the card...

Not aware of any issues b/w the two but i dont own either.
Try the card in someone elses rig. If it works its an incompatibility issue, if it doesnt its the card. Im thinking its the card though.
