The BFG's are suppose to be in stock at the end of this week and more specifically today. Will be interested to see if they actually become available, if the shipment made it.

How many of you are cancelling your GT order and waiting for a GTS? I can afford the difference. Current price + VAT for my Superclocked EVGA is £200 and I'm guessing the GTS will be around £250.

I know the rule of "there's always something better around the corner" but two weeks is a small distance from that corner for me. I just don't want to wait then find there's a very small difference for the extra £50.

but then again, there will always be the situation with G92 GTS supply. How many will actually be available on release.

From the GT fiasco I would say very few.

You'd be better off going for the GT if you want a card this side of xmas, then decide next year if you still want to upgrade through the EVGA plan.

I think its down to the fact that they shipped the GT a week or two before the intended release date and production numbers weren't as high as expected. They did this to get the card out before the 3870HD. In a few weeks everywhere will have full stock.

hmm,

interesting

wonder if they originally intended to release the GT alongside the new GTS on Dec 3rd.

seems quite likely if they pushed the GT forward to beat AMD's baby to the markets.

arrgh this is driving me nuts. Ive had a peorder in for my EVGA sinse the 12th, i ordered it with other parts which i need urgently, the graphics card can wait if need be. help me OcUK

I have a BFG 8800 GT order from last week that was meant to be fulfilled today - does this mean they won't be due for at least another week? Or is this for future orders only?

Thanks for keeping us informed, Gibbo and everyone else contributing :)

Yikes I just read the first post of this thread! Thank you so much for the information Gibbo!

I've had my Evga SC ordered from the 8th November now.

I have just sent a webnote message to OcUK instructing that they cancel the order for the Evga and replace it with a BFG OC2 (which coincidentally is the same price) if that would mean getting my card earlier.

I really hope it would be possible for OcUK to do so....

I can't do it myself - I can't find a way to delete my Evga order and I don't want to put an order for the BFG with the Evga one still pending because that way I'd risk having to buy both!

And what's worse I won't be having computer access till Monday now... I really hope I get a quick reply!

Gibbo why do you avoid MSI and Sparkle, they are usually 50 € cheaper compared to the overpriced BFG and EVGA's and other overpriced brands ( here in most dutch shops anyhow)?

Imo lifetime warranty of BFG is fantastic. If a company can offer that with its products they have huge confidence that they are quality. I'm happy to pay a few quid more for this.
