I am using an old Nvidia 8800 GTS 320MB model just now and have been for a while.
In general it works ok but I kept meaning to ask if this is correct.
When I boot the pc it always starts up on screen and the normal text comes up that tells us all about the hardware details etc as normal, BUT, I have always noticed that the picture is too large for my screen (during boot) and the words are slightly cut off at the side etc, its always done that, and it says whilst booting "720p" yet in Nvidia control panel it is set to 1080p HD as native (its a 42inch sony tv that can display 1920 x 1080p no problem). (its connected to the tv with the HDMI port on the telly).
Anyways, once it passes the first few seconds of the boot process it just sorts itself out and either displays in 1080p or upscales to 1080p or something (picture fits perfect), I don't know.
I have never really bothered with it but as I say, its something I always meant to ask about, is this right and normal what it is doing or have I completely overlooked something maybe in the bios or somewhere else, I haven't a clue to be honest with this kind of thing ?
Thanks.
