Ok so usually I connect my pc to my 40" HDTV to watch bluray movies, and when I connect it back to my normal 17" LCD I get a "cannot display video mode" error on my screen. I tried to boot into safe mode and it worked, but when I tried to boot in VGA mode (640*480) the same message appears. I am currently using Vista 64bit with 186.18 drivers. Already tried the latest ones but I get the same message on those too.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Edit: I also tried to switch to a resolution that the 17" will recognize but this doesn't work

if selecting say 1024x768 at 60hz is not working, switch off PC, change to your other dvi port (if you have one) and turn baxck on and let it do its thing. this should sort it out.

Also, regardless settings chosen, you should still see the windows boot screen, are you?
