Nvidia 9600GT in a shuttle

Hiya guys, just hoping someone can answer a quick question.

im helping a friend build his shuttle machine and just got all plugged in.

well it boots up fine, but the 9600gt's fan doesnt spin up during the windows install.

is that normal???

Touch the heatsink on the card, does it feel hot? Some CPU fans dont spin when the CPU is cool enough, so perhaps its the same with the 9600GT as its not a power hungry card.

yup i does feel hot to the touch. i dont want to install windows when it doesnt spin up at all.

does anyone else have a 9600gt?

Had one, fan was loud as hell. I'd make sure all power leads are connected.
