Loaded FEAR XP back on and noticed a lttle judder at the start of the game,i havnt played it since i had a 3700/7800gtx rig so had set 16QAA and everything else to max (bar Soft Shadows).
I decided to use the in built bench system and recieved the following results at various levels of AA at 1600x1200
x8 x8Q x16 x16Q
Min 45 31 45 24
Average 84 64 83 43
Max 178 161 179 113

Now the fact that the x8 and x16 scores are virtualy identical leads me to believe my CPU is limiting things but is the visual improvment of the Q setting worth the performance hit? (i didnt notice improved IQ at 16Q).

no, i honestly don't see any difference going from 16 to 16Q and the framerate hit of like, 100% is just not worth it all.

I think you would if you took close up maginfied shots, but to the naked eye when playing a gam, no way.
