NVIDIA Ageia PhysX driver is here

*awaits pottsey with is sword and armour ready to slay the dragons that are the naysayers of physX* :D

So now you have to check Nvidias site out for Ageia PPU drivers? Talk about stupid. It’s not that you have to check Nvidia site out that bothers me, I am ok with that. It’s that there is no reference on Ageia site that all new drivers are now on are from Nvidaam Ageia site lists 6+ month old drivers

What about patch, it says it support new games. Which new games?

“Yup, looks like it's just a driver/software update for the stand alone Ageia card.”
It’s a driver upgrade for all those people who play Ageia games without the card and with the card. If you play UT or any Ageia powered games its worth installing the drivers.

“Well, at least it leaves a little bit of life with those unfortunates with physx cards “
The drivers are going to keep coming as they are needed for CPU owners who play Physx games. This is why I have been saying the PPU card is not dead but got its life extended.

iv installed the agiea / nvidia new drivers the OP linked to, i have some agiea sdk based games installed so its always worth updating the drivers for them even though i dont have a PPU.

also there are some new demos in these nvidia drivers, much better demos than what agiea had. give it a try.

best way to test these drivers woudl be to download a game called cellfactor revolution which is free, and install the CUDA drivers and see what difference it makes.

Is there any tech demos to download that only work on the Physx hardware that i can try with these CUDA drivers? Couldn't be bothered downloading Cellfactor to find that it may not work.

the built in demos in the physx driver posted in the other thread shoudl do the trick.

cellfactor is 888mb big so got a bit left to download on it and try it out.

If/When Nvidia give you proper drivers, it will be all over the front page not hidden away.

CUDA was there before Physics so thats not the drivers we all want.

Most of the tech demos are as big as the Cellfactor. Hanger of Death e.c.t. What about the car fluid demo? That shouldnt be to big. I would guess under 10 meg.
