8K is the future, according to AMD and NVIDIA (NYSE:AMD, NASDAQ:NVDA)

4K is barely here and getting into the market, but we already have some great monitors in the Acer XB280HK, which is powered by NVIDIA's G-SYNC technology. Forget all that, though, as news is coming out about 8K, and that both NVIDIA and AMD are looking at ways to make this insanely high-res technology happen.

Obviously font size and scaling can be increased.

We once used 640 x 480, font size and scalability has been adjusted over the years as 1920 x 1080P became the standard. It will be no different with 4K / 8K.

I use Windows 7 @ 1440P and just set scaling to 125%. It's perfect.

People being dramatic over the smallest things :p

Fonts and icons will need larger sizes. They'll appear the same physical size on the screen but look much sharper :)

Exactly (:
