hey guys, i'm actually looking at getting a new case......(ok not ideal start to question seeing as i'm in graphics forum but....) i want a case that will hold the new ati/nvidia cards, which ever turns out better......but i know that the new nvidia cards are quite a size.....do you think cards will stay this big or will they shrink? will the ati's be as big to start? difficult question i understand but i would appreciate any views.

yeah i noticed that, it raelly talks about what cases are 8800 compatible, i'm more curious as to what size the ati's might be and if the 8800s will remain so big?

surely if they are, a lot of people will need to change cases from what i've read due to the overall size of the card

ATi are using the extra development time to get their cards to at least the length of the 8800gtx and according to the inquirer it's gona be shorter and closer to 1950xtx length.

i hope they do get the card length down, if a lot of cases struggle with the length of the 8800 like i have read i'm sure not many people will be able to afford a suitable case as well as the card.....

is there an eta on the ati cards?

Q1 is the word going around, closer to world wide release of vista on January 30th most likely

well i just hope theyre able to shrink the card size down...although if i do get my eclipse case at last i should be ok

eclipse case is more then enough, I have that case, you can have a GFX card upto 13 inches long.
