Nvidia app

Someone told me today that I should delete the Nvidia app (which installs drivers) because it's currently impacting performance.

Is this true?

IIRC Hardware Unboxed did a video where it showed a small to moderate affect on frames if you have the NVIDIA overlay and Filters on.

You can still download the drivers directly

NVIDIA overlay and Filters on.

this dose have an effect just like the steam and EA overlay dose.
but the app its self no if you turn off the overlay and filters it dose nothing but monitor FPS and wait for driver updates
