I just received my shiny new GTX460 and all was going well with the installation but the nvidia drivers have uninstalled all my audio devices. The only thing i can think to fix this is to install the realtek drivers, but i dont know if you can install straight on top of the nvidia hd audio.

This is the mobo and driver.

I searched for this but found nothing. sorry if its been answered before.

I would download the drivers from the Gigabyte website and re-install them, I assume your using the onboard audio.

I am surprised Nvidia has uninstalled them though.

Thanks RJC, I chose the "clean install" option, thinking that would help remove left overs from physx and ati, i wont chose it again. :)

It worked, not only that but i have new options in the windows sound manager. It says i can enable dolby headphone, which i thought you could only get with a sound card. Is this the real thing and will it make a difference in games etc?

Just played a game of BC2. Huge change. The heavy MG sounds completely different and the 40mm shotgun has a thump sound not the usual pfff, however it does sound like im in a cave, cold and echoey. I like it though much clearer. :)
