Summary
I’ve been having significant issues with my GPU over the last month. When running various (current) games, the system will *BSOD. This has increased in frequency over time.

System
· I5 4670k @4.1, 8gb ram 1600mhz, Asus z87, 600w bQuiet
Asus GTX780 DCII
· Windows 7 SP1... all drivers (OS, chipset, nvidia) are current.
· Running on 1920x1200

Symptoms
· Running any of the following benchmark tools will cause an unspecified error or BSOD : Unigine Heaven 4, Unigine Vally or 32Mark11.
· 3DMark does not fail as frequently as Heaven 4 and Valley.
· BSODs occur at random times... sometimes within 5 secs of running a benchmark... sometimes 30mins or longer.
· BSODs can occur when the card is running at low temp 40c.
· Card temp will level out at 74c at full load.
· No artefacts.

This is what I’ve done thus far:
· Tried the following nvidia drivers 332.21, 334.89, 335.23, 337.88.
· Drivers where all uninstalled cleanly using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) as well as through the control panel.
· Benchmark tests were performed with anti-virus switched off.
· Benchmark tests were performed with un-necessary background jobs switched off (msconfig – Startup – Diable All).
· Ran full virus-check and MalwareBytes scan before benchmarking. Clear.
· Tried with and without (uninstalled) Nvidia Physx, Nvidia 3D and Audio drivers.
· Tested with Physx set to Auto/CPU/GPU within NVIDA control panel.
Ran Video Memory Stress Test... but no issues there.
· Done all the above again after doing a full Windows 7 SP1 Install.

I’ve tried to do as much testing as possible before wasting your time.... but I’ve now hit a brick wall. Not sure what to do next?

Could be a timeout detection and recovery error like I once had on an 8800 Ultra.

- CPU run at stock and test with Prime.
- Test RAM one stick at a time using mem test.
- Make sure PSU is up to it.
- Test GPU in mates rig or rig in a shop.
- Make sure temps are fine.
- Make sure GPU is at stock Nvidia 780 speeds.
