Am looking to replace the GeForce 8800 GTX that I got with the PC that I bought from OcUK back in November '07. It has to be nVidia as I need it to work with their 3D Vision system.

The PC has a Intel Q6600 G0 overclocked to 3.2GHz and an Abit IP35 Pro motherboard.

Any graphics card recommendations? Would getting the GTX 470 or 480 be worthwhile

Thanks :)

Monitor resolution: have 2 x 1680x1050 (dual head) though only use one for gaming

Budget: anything up to £400ish

Gaming: Yes

Its worth buying the GTX480 if you plan on using 3D Vision much

But if you only play in non-stereo with a Q6600 @ 3.2gig combined with only playing at 1680x1050 res you won't feel the full benefit of a GTX480 over a GTX470 but a single GTX470 is a hard sell over the 58xx cards even tho in SLI they are a potent combination.

Next time I upgrade, I'll make sure I get an SLI mobo. :)

Was also pondering putting my 8800GTX or getting a cheap GT 240 to put in the second PCI-e 16x slot (4x only though) for PhysX duties.

Unless your developing for PhysX or have yet to play Batman AA theres no real point setting up another card for PhysX.
