Nvidia caught tinkering with their HDR-SDR monitor presentation...

Looks like the Nvidia SDR-HDR monitor comparison they run at Computex, was a bit of a fraud.
The SDR monitor was configured in such way to show everything crappier than it actually can display, even with just factory settings!


Given the long list of similar NV scams (GTX970 3.5Vram and less ROPs than advertised for example) , I believe nobody should be surprised.

However is different to make a decision on £250 GPU than a £2000 monitor, like the new HDR Gsync monitors, Nvidia is trying to push......
 
As per the thread in monitors that already exists on this topic - it isn't just nVidia pulling this stunt - the monitor manufacturers are doing it also to push HDR :|
 
I have a 65" LG OLED TV and believe me, proper HDR on a 4k UHD movie looks fantastic.

I've tried a few HDR games (PS4 Pro and PC) and they aren't quite as amazing but it's still a nice boost to colour/image quality
