Nvidia Chipset With ATI Card?

Hi guys,

Im looking at building my self a mini itx media pc with the zotac 9300 itx, but i want a bit of extra graphics power for some light gaming so will i be able to use a HD4670 with this board and it be compatible i.e with drivers and everything.

I remember registering on these forums back five or so years ago to ask this very question! :)

Of course, back then I was asking it about nForce2 and a 9800 Pro. ;)

The answer then was "it makes no difference" - and I don't think the playing field has changed in this respect. You'll be fine. :cool:
 
Interesting, I catually didn't realise you could mix 'n' match with nForce, I thought it was NVIDIA only...? That's refreshing to know.

Huh?

nForce IS nVidia's chipset. It would just hurt them more than help if they decided to lock their chipset to their own graphics cards.
 
hmmm looking at it they dont sell it as an nforce its sold as a geforce 9300 i guess becuase its all lumped together would it still be ok becuase im guessing ill need to install the onboard grpahics driver as it will be in the northbridge driver.
