Nvidia chipset work with graphics Card??

Apologies if this is a really stupid question to be asking, but i'm unsure that's why:confused:. I run cpu Z earlier and found out my motherboard chipset are Nvidia, and i'm just about to change my graphics card to any ATI radeon Hd 4650, so the question i'm trying to ask is because my board chipset is Nvidia does my graphics card need to be Nvidia or will it be ok to have ATI one in??

Apologies again if this is a really daft question to be asking.
 
It's not that daft a question; but the answer is that motherboard will run any electrically compatible PCI-E card, so you'll be fine with a 4650 :)
