Hi There,

nvclaw.jpg

I have a NVIDIA competition for you guys:-

Competition: Win a GTX 560Ti SLI 3D Vision PC and 5 runners up could win a 560Ti

To celebrate the launch of the eagerly anticipated NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560 Ti OcUK are working with NVIDIA to give you all the opportunity to win an awesome NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560 Ti SLI 3D Vision PC and 5 runners up will walk away with one of the new GeForce® GTX560 Ti graphics cards.

The competition involves you printing out a picture of the NVIDIA Claw, thinking of the most creative place you could place it and taking a picture. You then upload your picture to the “Claw Wall” image gallery on NVIDIA’s web site and “Show Us Your Claw”

This competition is not exclusive to OcUK but I really want one of the OcUK forum members to win this so come on everyone, get your brains into creative mode and your camera’s out.

For full instructions and where to download the CLAW from and to upload your images, visit the official NVIDIA landing page here:-

The entry period for this contest closes at 11:59 p.m. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) on February 25th, 2011.

Regards,
Gibbo

Ok final question: is it a must to be printed off + stuck up somewhere, or can we be a bit more imaginitive EG a desktop wallpaper in an imaginitive place?

The rules say it has to be printed off and placed somewhere, then take a photo.

At end of the day they are giving away a lot of nice kit, you gotta do something to stand a chance of winning it. ;)

When you say OcUK are working with Nvidia... I don't see any mention of this at all on the Nvidia page competition page? Its more that this is a competition run by Nvidia, open to anyone to submit entries, and OcUK are simply telling people about the competition?

Still tempted to enter, though ^^

If you read my entire post you would have read this which already answers your question:-

Very true, I hadn't noticed that.

Also, does that mean that you don't really need this line in the T&C:
'This competition is open to all Overclockers UK forum members who have linked their Overclockers UK forum account to their Overclockers UK online store account, except for employees of Overclockers UK (or their families), their suppliers or other affiliated companies.'

Since you aren't involved in the judging process, OcUK staff can enter?

Either way, thanks for the post, wouldn't have even known about the competition without this anyway :p

Anyone got any ladders I could borrow? Theres some wind turbines nearby; trying to get one on to the blades is going to be difficult though :D

Its just a copy and paste of our usual T&C's, but in theory yes all could enter unless of course NVIDIA have rules stating we could not, though I won't be personally entering anyway, though I could do with a PC at home. :)

I was going to set it as a laptop wallpaper for the laptop they use to do assemblies :D

Or alternativly i was going to deploy the wallpaper to a classroom and get the teacher to take a photo of all the kids on the desktop :D
