Nvidia control panel setup

Hi all,

Now possibly this should be in the drivers thread but anyhoo.

Just installed a new galax 970, looking to optimize it now in the control panel/ experience.

Obviously different for different systems, but have people got screen shots of their setup, ie: the manage 3d tab?

Assuming a moderately good system, i54670k, 8 gig ram, 1no. galax 970 gtx etc?

Any setting to definitely change from the defaults, what to turn on/off?

cheers!

so settings such as mfaa / adaptive vsync, dsr, ambient occlusion etc are all just set when you optimize it in nvidia experience instead?

Think of it like not being able to tell the difference from 720p to 1080p which most people cant... Your all on cheapish 4K monitirsmonitors with your noses touching the screen am sat 4m back

?? 720p looks significantly worse than 1080p. Also, how is that at all relevant?

Personally I tweak settings in individual games, works well, no need for much more. I've heard some games can benefit from settings forced on them in NCP, but none of the ones I play have needed it :)

keep ambient occlusion set to "off" imo bcos the games that do use it will slow down to a crawl. you can try playing around with it on "performance" setting though. also the anti-aliasing for invisible objects or whatever, keep that off too.

most settings are fine on default.

i usually keep AA settings as "application controlled" or just turn them off.
MSAA / FXAA / DSR = off (unless playing around with them).

i keep vsync on, have 0 issues, but some people don't like it cos it gives them input lag. i dont experience any though.
