• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

nVidia control panel...

Yes it will, it means you'll have to open the Control Panel all the time you want to make changes instead of just using the toolbar icon. :p

I don't have it in the taskbar at the bottom right no...Everything works fine here...

But don't disable the Nvidia services will you ;)

LMAO...but true...I hate having loads of little icons on the toolbar, same with the desktop

It's ok :). However, if you ever start getting angry because someone has left a tin not facing forward in your cupboard. Go and get help :D.

Actually, you can remove both the tray icon, the tool tray extension AND you can disable the Nvidia display driver in your Services for Windows and it will affect you none. Though for TV tuner or multiple monitor users you might run into a problem, but for your average person just playing games, there's no need to run the service.

A better solution is using Nhancer, which has it's own service entry like the Nvidia one. You don't need to have the program itself start with Windows, the service will be enough.

You just run the program once, set up your games similar to the Nvidia control panel, then voila, that's it.

Everytime you run the application, the Nhancer service is also running and will make the adjustments ; unlike the Nvidia service, which doesn't do anything whether you have custom profiles or not.

Each time I install a new driver, I immediatley wipe out any Nvidia service(s) or startup roots.
