Over the weekend, I got DLSS 4 running with the latest setting on my PC (3080ti).
I've no idea what Nvidia have been up to in their software department, but I've never seen DCS look so good in VR.
To date, I've run DCS with DLAA enabled. Using DLSS upscaling left me highly unimpressed, it really wasn't good.
The new version, just wow. I had to go to performance mode before the visuals underwhelmed, and even they weren't terrible. Making up for the that, the frame rate improvement was a very pleasant surprise.

If you've not done this yet, do check it out.

I'm using DLSS 4 with WRC and it's a huge boost to performance, even improved the visuals.
I didn't think DLSS was for VR but version 4 certainly makes it useable

The drivers are just the standard 572.16.
You then need to:
- Download the latest version of NvidiaProfileInspector from Github
- unzip the download. Doesn't matter where you put it
- Run the NVPI app. By default it'll open the "global" settings for the Nvidia drivers. It's a big list
- in the top right corner of the NVPI App, there is an option to select either "all" or "known" setting types, change that to all
- scroll down the list of settings to a group of "others"
- within there, are three DLSS preset options that need to be given a setting of "1", i.e. yes, turn them on
- further down there's another 2 options, which is where you choose which preset to use. Set both of them to "FF", i.e. the latest
- Hit save

Note that it appears that NVPI has been updated further and you should now see the following:

For example: https://www.bing.com/images/search?...14&itb=0&cw=1077&ch=639&ajaxhist=0&ajaxserp=0

That's it. Jobs a good un'. Then go into DCS (or similar that has DLSS enabled) and for the upsampling choose quality, balanced etc.

DLSS 4 in quality mode is way better than it has any right to be, though I've still got some reservations as I do notice some of the inconsistencies where it isn't always filling in the blanks with the same data. While I wouldn't use it in any context the ultra performance 480p upscale is crazy - though you'd definitely notice the blurring in VR.

No, quite the contrary, the benefit in visuals was so much that I was able to use DLSS (quality) upsampling in VR, which previously looked ghastly.

I got it working for Skyrim VR. Huge performance improvement but still a little blurry.

Bit of a reply necro, but how did you get it working in SKyrim VR? I'm using the DLSS upscaler mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/82179?tab=description and with DLSS4 DLLs and using preset K or J there is odd motion anomalies and image stability problems across the whole image that's something to do with motion vectors - so it's totally unusable. Are you using something else?

As mentioned in the comments Puredark needs to update the upscaler mod stuff....

I did think I'd got it working, but maybe not. In any case I've nuked my modlist, started again with the FUS list and running Virtual Desktop 'Godlike' using VDXR and Open composite I'm nailing 80fps with no reprojection and it looks amazing - without DLSS. Still seeing a bit of compression compared to using Link but it looks mostly utterly amazing.
