I recently installed the 270.61 drivers and during the install I got a driver failed to install message.

Looking at the install window it showed audio, 3d and updater as not installed and Physix as failed - I tried, and succeeded, installing the non installed items separately on further installs - but not the Physix

Initially I wasn't that bothered as I don't have any Physix utilised games so decided to leave it until I tried to load up Homefront and gt a pop up saying Physix needs to be installed

I've tried a separate / different download of the 270.61 as well as the 270.51 and three older sets - all fail on trying to install the Physix drivers.

I've tried custom and express options with and without the
clean install option

I've tried installing over the top, clean install, driver sweeper, control panel removal and a fresh install and keep getting the same failed to install message :s

I've tried downloading and installing the seperate, stand alone, Physix drivers also, these abort due to newer drivers being installed (even when they're not)

Has anybody got any suggestions or ideas because this really is doing my head in :(

I also have the same problems with the 270 series drivers with driver failed to install message, some of the stuff failed to install thought I did manage
to finally get all the software contained in the driver download installed after a few reboots and then retry .

Cheers, but yeah, ive tried that and can get them all to install bar the Physix

Ill try again tonight when I get home, but any more suggestions would be welcomed :)

Well, managed to sort it :)

After several attempts with Driver Sweeper in Safe Mode (again) it still wasn't working, so I tried (for the he'll of it) deleting any ATI related items also (despite an ATI card or driver ever being installed on this Windows Install) - rebooted and tried the 270.51s and worked first time, fully installed all components !

Thanks all
