hi

just finished what was a bit of a nightmare build; specs below.

So basically at various times, generally when i close it, i am getting blue screens nearly everytime with cod4. I've had 2 errors.

1. PAGEFAULT IN NON PAGE AREA

2. IRQL LESS OR EQUAL
(or something along those lines anyway ..)

both say it's caused by nvdisp_4.dll

Assuming this was drivers i reinstalled them but no luck. No overclocks or anything atm everything be running stock.

Fix?

thanks

It could be a system memory error or CPU overheating, have you tried to see if your system is stable with Orthos Small FFT test and Blend test?

nvdisp_4.dll is a driver error, and a well known one, its been going since the 5 or 6 series, or maybe even longer, only way to fix i found, was by going through driver set after driver set until i found a set which didn't do it, also are you running the latest drivers, which are the 177.79 beta's.

The 177.66 drivers from the other week are the first i've had for ages without that error. Loving life:D

The modded .inf is just the original drivers inf, but has all other cards added so that they can be installed and used on others.

All you do is download the drivers, then instead of installing them as usual, you right click and do an extract here, this unpacks all the files, then you download the modded .inf and drag it across to all those unpacked files, it will ask to replace as theres already a one there, so yes to that, then you just run the Setup.exe (which also gets unpacked) to install the drivers.

All the modded .inf's are located in my first link above, so just grab the one you need for whichever operating system your running.

The modded inf is across the top in green, once you select the drivers you require. :)

Sounds more like incorrect memory setting or faulty memory causing the NVidia driver to crash to me.
