Nvidia driver not installing 2080ti

I have a EVGA FTW 2080ti and when I started my PC this morning the PC looked like it had no driver installed, Ge Force experience was not loaded and the driver missing from control panel, tried installing the driver again and at the same point on install I get a graphics corrupt image for a couple seconds and the driver installing sound, like its installed and then uninstalled, it then carry's on and completes the install and says its installed it but still showing no driver in device manager. Have tried cleaning the PC with DDU Display Driver Uninstaller and new downloads of Nvidia experience but keep getting the same corruption at the install point. Also tried a older Nvidia driver and same thing!

Is my 2080ti faulty?

Update, after restarting the PC with the old driver it seemed to work, then it updated to the newest driver no problem, strange one

Very very strange...

Nvidia cards that do this are usually dead.
