I'm not excusing nvidia for releasing a bad driver,
But it it kinda makes the whole whql thing seem pointless!
WHQL testing is to cover how the driver interacts with the OS.

Yeh, just looked it up.. lol, i thought it would cover more than just that but thinking about it, there's to many hardware configs to take into account.
Thinking about it though, ms can only guarantee a driver is compatable with windows, if a driver breaks its own hardware then they can't reasonably be expected to test for that.
No, Windows. Why would MS help nVidia create drivers for their cards?
WHQL is to ensure that the piece of hardware doesn't trash the way windows works, not to go over the drivers to see if there are any bugs in them. That's nVidia's/hardware manufacturer's job.

At the minute the Nvidia drivers do not seem to bad so maybe there is nothing to say, could all change with these, who knows.

if Ati come in at the same price i.e refresh ect then this becomes a Rip-off, this means a new TV Show will be invented instead of Doggy builders Tv
