I currently have installed drivers for my 7600GS GPU but will tomorrow be installing a 8800GTS. What I would like to know is if I can simply install the 8800GTS drivers over the top of my existing ones or if I should use something like Driversweeper to get rid of the 7600GS drivers first?

Thanks :)

That advice again, with punctuation:

Uninstall, run DriverSweeper, switch cards, re-install.

Personally, I just replaced two 8800GTXs with a GTX260 rB and didn't uninstall anything. I work on the theory that nVidia's drivers just recognise which nVidia card you have and just work. Don't know how true that is, but it works :D

My 7300 wouldnt swap to 9600 without driver re-install, must just depend on cards.

just pull the 7 series - and then install the latest ones for the 8800GTS after bootup...

If your using XP make sure your updated to latest SP2 as some of the newer drivers assume you have it already and will result in 4bit color depth and driver failure if you don't.
