Nvidia Drivers Black Screen Windows 7

Having trouble with windows 7

Have previously had windows 7 installed fine on this PC, so don't know why it's causing trouble

Install W7, all is well, until I install the nvidia drivers, when i get a black screen after loading, before the login screen. If i reboot and start in safe mode, it's fine. If I remove the drivers in safe mode and reboot, it's fine.

I've tried 26x.xx and they don't support the GT520. The 27x and 28x drivers (tried several, including the latest) all result in the above.

Tried repair, restore etc and no errors found.

Any ideas?

you got an old card to test? anything showing in event view?

Try installing the drivers in advanced and just choose display drivers and nothing else. Could be something else in the package causing the error, so worth narrowing it down.

Dont think its the card as vista works fine with the exact same exes. I need the full package as its my htpc and i need hd audio pads through, but will try it to eliminate errors.

I get this too. I just cope, doesn't do it in games so doesn't bother me.

Tried several installs and I don't even get to the desktop after restart following nvidia driver installation.

Reseat the card, had the exact same problem.

Try it.
