I'm having trouble installing the drivers for my new GTX 1070, I keep getting the message "This Nvidia graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows". Any one else had this problem, I have even done a fresh install of windows 10 pro and still get the message.

I have used geforce experience to install the drivers and even downloaded the drivers again from Nvidia and still get the message. I have even reset my bios to default settings and moved the card to another graphics slot, tried the two latest drivers and still get the message

I've seen this mentioned a couple of times with people still on an older win 10 build. Run winver to check (I think Build 10586+ may be needed)

Thanks for the quick replies, just checked and currently on 10240, though I would have thought my old windows 10 would have been up to date, as it was setup last October when I built the PC. Strange

Just noticed this in the windows updates "• NVIDIA driver update for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070."

Hopefuly this will fix it and will be on 10586 once done :)
